GORE-TEX® Paclite® Plus | Material Guide

GORE-TEX PACLITE® PLUS provides durable waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable protection in lightweight and packable constructions. The technology is based on a 2.5-layer laminate, where a protective, abrasion-resistant outer textile is bonded directly to the GORE-TEX® membrane. Rather than a conventional three-layer construction with a separate inner lining, the 2.5-layer configuration features a printed or embossed backer applied directly onto the membrane, reducing overall fabric weight and bulk without sacrificing structural integrity.

The ePTFE membrane retains its characteristic micro-porous performance properties, blocking liquid water and wind while allowing moisture vapour to pass through efficiently. The abrasion-resistant outer textile is engineered to protect the membrane from mechanical wear during active use, contributing to the long-term durability of the laminate. The result is a compact, low-weight fabric system that compresses easily for storage and transport, making it well suited for on-water use where packability and reliable weather protection are equally critical.
