Description
The Orca Open Ocean Parka is an offshore sailing jacket made from a 3-layer GORE-TEX® PRO Technology nylon fabric, providing high abrasion resistance, tear strength, and low moisture absorption. The GORE-TEX® PRO Technology is specifically developed to offer exceptional protection against moisture and wind while maintaining high breathability and being highly durable, ensuring reliable performance even in the harshest conditions. The parka is reinforced with 3-layer GORE-TEX® PRO Technology nylon fabric on the sleeves and the lower part of the back, enhancing abrasion resistance.
The parka features an integrated spray top on the inside for extra protection and is constructed with a water-repellent YKK AquaGuard® zipper. The inside of the spray top can be attached to the side zipper and can be concealed when not in use. The spray top has a neoprene skirt at the bottom, adjustable with medical tape and Velcro closure, reinforced with Bemis® tape for a customized fit and protection. The spray top's collar is also adjustable with medical tape and Velcro closure, reinforced with Bemis® tape to provide a tight barrier against water intrusion.
The jacket has a two-way waterproof YKK AquaSeal® zipper with large Hypalon pulls at the front and a welded, inner placket designed to minimize water leakage. The hood is constructed with a lighter GORE-TEX® PRO Technology fabric to make it easier to fold into the collar and has a welded hood edge with channels for water drainage. The hood is equipped with an adjustable drawstring on the inside and Velcro adjustment at the back for a customized fit that protects against water and wind. The hood is also lined with microfleece for comfort. On the outside of the hood, there are printed details with reflective effects for increased visibility in low-light conditions.
The parka has an extra-high collar lined with microfleece for comfort and is adjustable at the neck with medical tape and Velcro closure, reinforced with Bemis® tape, for secure weather protection. The collar has an outer adjustable flap over the zipper for extra reinforcement and to keep the puller in place. The cuffs can be adjusted with Velcro closure and have a 3-layer, waterproof cuff on the inside in stretch fabric, adjustable with medical tape and Velcro closure to prevent wind and water intrusion. The jacket also has adjustable drawstrings at the bottom hem for a customized fit.
For secure storage in extreme weather conditions, the jacket is equipped with two spacious chest pockets with waterproof YKK AquaSeal® zippers and Hypalon pulls. Inside the left pocket, there is a hanging loop that can be used to attach tools. The jacket also has an inner pocket with a water-repellent YKK AquaGuard® zipper for secure storage.
The jacket has a large hanging loop in webbing tape at the back of the neck and is equipped with high-frequency reflective logos on the sleeves for increased visibility in the dark. Designed with Sail Racing and GORE-TEX® PRO embroidery on the chest and 50KTS embroidery on the sleeve. Embroidered Sail Racing block logo and embroidered GORE-TEX® PRO logo at the neck. Printed Sail Racing logos on the cuffs and hood. GORE-TEX® PRO Print at the back.
