GORE-TEX®

Developed through decades of innovation, GORE-TEX® fabrics combine waterproof, windproof, and breathable performance for lasting comfort and protection in varying weather conditions. Every GORE-TEX® garment is engineered to perform, ensuring this piece delivers dependable protection in demanding conditions.

The GORE-TEX® Performance Technology offers reliable weather protection and good breathability for versatile use and everyday outdoor activities. At its core, the membrane is constructed from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), a material with a micro-porous structure containing billions of tiny pores per square centimetre. These pores are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, making the membrane impenetrable to liquid water and wind, while still being 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule, allowing perspiration to escape and maintaining breathability during sustained physical activity. The ePTFE membrane is laminated between an outer face fabric and an inner lining, forming a durable three-layer construction that maintains its protective properties wash after wash and over extended use in variable conditions.
